1. Stamp TOBY on the acrylic piece with Staz-On jet black ink. Color the image with acrylic paints on the same side as it was stamped; this will be the back. **It will probably take two coats of paint. Set it aside to dry.
2. Make a horizontal base card 6 ½”x 5” from red cardstock. Cut a piece of white card stock slightly smaller than the front of the base card.
3. Use the X-Static bag on the white cardstock. Using the VersaMark inkpad and the two embossing powders, randomly stamp and emboss FIREWORKS on the white piece. **Alternate using the Royal Blue and Royal Red embossing powders.
4. Stipple over the firework images alternating between the red and blue dye inks.
5. Using the VersaMark inkpad and the Royal Blue embossing powder, stamp and emboss the saying, TAIL WAGGIN’ 4TH, on white cardstock. Cut it to size; see the sample card for the approximate size. **Use the X-Static bag on the cardstock before stamping and embossing.
6. Cut a piece of blue cardstock slightly larger than the saying piece and attach them together with double stick adhesive tape.
7. Place a small piece of embossing tape on the backside of TOBY and position the acrylic piece on the left side of the fireworks background. To fasten him permanently in place on the background, use a small red square brad in each hole of the acrylic piece.
8. Put a piece of embossing tape where the saying piece will be positioned. Cut a piece of each ribbon color. Place the middle of each piece on the embossing tape to hold it. Then anchor the ends of each on the backside of the background with embossing tape.
9. Attach the saying piece on the right side of the background using double stick adhesive tape.
10. Attach the entire fireworks background to the front of the card with double stick adhesive tape. |
