Stamp Credits : Stork #707-35Q
Alphas #Plate 248
FW Baby #124-236BA
Love #788-258A
Fancy Swirl Border #789-258AB
Other Supplies : CD ~ doesn’t matter what is on it.
Patterned Paper or Solid Cardstock
Glue or Double stick tape
Pop dots
Black inkpad
Fiber or Ribbon (optional)
Tacky tape
Prima Flowers
Baby Buttons
Glitter:
Rosy Red G1036
Parisian Mist G1037
Instructions : (1) Lay cd on paper and draw around it. Cut circle out. You will need two of these, one for the front and back of the cd. It can be matching papers or coordinating paper.
(2) Using either double stick tape or glue, attach one circle of paper to one side of the cd. Trim the edges so there is no overhang. If you should get the paper a bit shorter that’s ok, it will be covered later.
(3) OPTIONAL: If you are going to use fiber/ribbon as a holder, continue. If not skip to step 4. Loop fiber/ribbon and secure on the side of the cd without the paper. You can attach the fiber/ribbon with double stick tape or glue. Make sure there is no space between the ends of the ribbon where attached to the cd. If there is space, it will be difficult to attach the tack tape.
(4) Attach the remaining piece of circle paper, covering over where you attached the fiber/ribbon.
(5) Starting at the fiber/ribbon, place the tacky tape in the middle edge of the cd and wrap it all the way around to the other end of the fiber/ribbon. (Do not worry about the space in front of the fiber where the tacky tape is not. We will fix that later). Try to place the tacky tape as close to the middle so each side will be equal. Firmly press the tacky tape down on both sides of the cd. Do this several times to make sure it adheres to the paper on both sides.
(6) Once the tacky tape is securely adhered, remove the red liner. Dip the exposed tape into Ruby Red glitter. Make sure you have completely covered the tacky tape with glitter. Firmly press the glitter onto the tape so there is no sticky tape exposed. By pressing the glitter into the tape, this also, reinforces the tape to the paper.
(7) Now you are ready to decorate your cd. Stamp image with black ink. Cut around the images. Secure stork to cd using pop dots.
(8)Stamp your words (it’s a girl) using black inkpad. Put dots of glue on background and rim of hat and sprinkle with Parisian Mist glitter.
(9) After side one of cd is dry, turn over to embellish the back. Stamp the words baby, birth, weight, and length on to paper. Stamp swirl border and LOVE. Attach Prima flowers to either side of the word love with glue dots and add baby button to the center of the flowers. Add dots of glue to the centers of the swirl border and the word LOVE. Sprinkle with Parisian Mist glitter.
(10)Once all is dry, you can add your information beside baby, etc. Add any additional embellishments. This can be used as a birth announcement or a congratulations card.
NOTE: Add a small line of glue in front of the ribbon to connect the tacky tape. Then add glitter over it so it will be a continuous circle of glitter around the cd. Do this on both sides of the cd.
