Cardstock: dark brown, yellow & turquoise
Coordinating small scraps of torn papers: (prints and solids) turquoise, yellow & brown
Sparkle N Sprinkle Brushable glue #99359a
    Mini glue dots—(optional) #99653
    Paintbrush or finger
    Two turquoise & brown brads
    Double stick adhesive tape
    Heat gun
Instructions : 1. Tear different printed and solid turquoise, yellow and brown papers into small pieces.
    2. Cut a piece of dark brown cardstock 4 ¼”x 4 ¼”. Using a paintbrush or finger, apply Sparkle N Sprinkle Brushable glue to about half the cardstock. Immediately start randomly placing and overlapping the small pieces of paper on top of the glue allowing a little of the dark brown background to show through in small places. Add glue whenever necessary since it will dry clearly. Continue this process until the entire brown background is covered. HINT: You can even allow some of the scraps to go over the edges of the background and cut it off later. Allow it to dry thoroughly.
    3. Make a horizontal card 6 ½”x 5” from turquoise cardstock. Set aside.
    4. Cut a piece of yellow cardstock smaller than the front of the card for layering. Set aside.
    5. Mix together a little of each of the seven embossing powders listed above. (I used an empty prescription bottle so I would be able to shake it now and then.) Test it on a scrap of white cardstock and add more of certain colors until it is to your liking and will show up on your scrappy background.
    6. Turn the background over and cut off the torn pieces hanging over the edges. I used a paper cutter, but a scissors should work if you are careful.
    7. Using the VersaMark inkpad and your newly mixed embossing powder, stamp and emboss INTERLOCKING FRAMES randomly over the scrappy background. HINT: Use the X-Anti-Static bag before heating the powder and use the Swiffer duster replacement pad to remove any residue after heating.)
    8. Cut the background into six equal 1 ¼” squares. (HINT: Use a white gel pen on the back to mark where you should cut with a scissors or use a self-healing grid mat with a metal ruler and cut with a heavy-duty box cutter.)
    9. Using Sparkle N Sprinkle Brushable glue, attach the six squares to the left side of the yellow cardstock, making 3 vertical and 3 horizontal rows, as shown. (HINT: If your hands are not steady enough to use the glue, apply a mini glue dot to each corner of each square.)
    10. Using the VersaMark inkpad and your newly mixed embossing powder, stamp and emboss the saying THOUGHTS OF YOU in the middle on the right side of the yellow cardstock.
    11. Attach a turquoise and brown swirly brad toward the top and the bottom of the saying as shown.
    12. Attach the entire piece to the front of the card with double stick adhesive tape.
