1. Make a base card 6 ˝”x 5” from deep purple cardstock. Using the VersaMark inkpad, stamp Light & Dark Flowers around all four edges on the front of the card to create a frame. **I turned the image upside down and sideways at times. With your finger, apply Pearl Ex grey lavender powder over the images. Dust off the excess powder with a fluffy make-up brush. Spray the piece with a fixative a few times to set the powder.
2. Cut a piece of white matte cardstock for layering. (See sample card for approximate size) Use the texture brush to stipple Pearl Ex Two Tone Gold/Violet ink over the entire piece. While the ink is still wet, apply Rainbow Gold embossing powder in splashes on the top, bottom and right side, get rid of the excess and heat set the powder. (See sample card for embossing powder positioning) **You may add more embossing powder by wetting any area with an embossing, blending or VersaMark pen, cover the area with the ep and heat set again. Set aside to dry completely.
3. Using the VersaMark inkpad and Amethyst Spray embossing powder, stamp and emboss Light and Dark Flowers twice on the mottled lilac cardstock. (See sample card for placement) Cut to size as shown. Use the Venus Violet Galaxy Marker to make a frame around its edges.
4. Cut a piece of purple mirror cardstock to layer behind the flower piece. Attach the two pieces together using double stick tape and place a purple brad in each corner. (See card for placements)
5. Using the VersaMark inkpad and Amethyst Spray embossing powder, stamp and emboss “Memories” along the left edge of the stippled white cardstock. (See card for placement)
6. Determine where the feather pieces and roses should be placed and attach them to the stippled piece using super gel glue on a toothpick. **Don’t overdo the amount of glue you use.
7. Attach the image piece to the card with double stick foam tape. (See card for placement) |
