1. Stamp MELTING image on white cardstock using the Staz-On jet black inkpad. Color its nose with an orange gel pen and his stick arms with a brown gel pen.
2. Pat the X-Anti-Static bag over and around the image. Using the larger point on the VersaMarker pen, cover part of the snowman’s body with its invisible liquid, sprinkle the area with Opaline Cosmic Dreams embossing powder, heat set and tap off the excess. Do this until the whole snowman is covered with melted Opaline embossing powder. Then draw horizontal slightly curved lines on his body going down toward the puddle of water with the VersaMarker pen liquid, cover the areas with Opaline embossing powder, heat set and get rid of the excess. Build up these same lines by using the same process two to four more times; this will make it look like the snowman is melting.
3. Now use the same process to cover the entire puddle of water underneath the snowman with Skylight Cosmic embossing powder. Don’t be concerned if a little of the Skylight embossing powder blows up onto the snowman; it will make it look more melting. **NOTE: If there are small areas that you missed with either embossing powder, use the small tip on the VersaMarker pen to touch up the places. **NOTE: Dust off any excess halo powder left by the Cosmic embossing powders with the Swiffer replacement pad.
4. Apply glue to the snowman’s eyes and the three pieces of coal using the Sakura glue pen, sprinkle Black Ice glitter over the glue and tap the excess off. Allow it to dry completely. Use a fluffy brush to get rid of any excess glitter.
5. Pat the X-Anti-Static bag over the cardstock above the snowman’s head. Using the VersaMark inkpad and Neptune Blue Opaque embossing powder, stamp and emboss the saying OH NO! twice above the snowman as shown. Cut the image piece to size as shown. Apply light blue chalk with your finger on the background, dust off the excess chalk and spray it twice with a fixative. Allow it to dry.
6. Make a vertical card 6 ½”x 5” from dark turquoise cardstock. Cut a piece of Stardream silver cardstock smaller than the front of the card as shown. Using the VersaMark inkpad and Pearl Cosmic Dreams embossing powder, emboss all four edges of the front of the card to make a shiny frame. **NOTE: Make sure you emboss it far enough in so none of the plain cardstock will show when you attach the silver piece on top.
7.Pat the X-Anti-Static bag over the top of the silver piece. Using the VersaMark inkpad and Madagascar Green Cosmic Dreams embossing powder, stamp and emboss the saying LET IT SNOW across the top of the silver cardstock piece. **NOTE: I cut my saying into two pieces so I could emboss it horizontally. Attach the silver piece to the front of the card with double stick adhesive tape.
8. Cut a piece of light blue cardstock larger than the image piece for layering. Using the VersaMark inkpad and Skylight Cosmic embossing powder, emboss the edges of the piece to make a shiny frame. **NOTE: Make sure you emboss it far enough in so none of the plain blue cardstock will show when the image piece is attached. Attach the two pieces together using double stick adhesive tape. Then attach it to the front of the card in the same way as shown.
9. Using mini glue dots, attach the nine glittery plastic snowflakes around the image as shown. |
