Stamp Credits : Holly Santa #1436-290E
Other Supplies : Silver Bells Opaque embossing powder EP297
Burgundy Glitz glitter G1047
StazOn Black inkpad #99704
VersaMark inkpad #99702
2 ½” x 2 ½” acrylic piece with hole #99554
Embossing tape ¼” #99538
Acrylic paints
Small paintbrush
Toothpicks
White narrow ribbon
Scrap paper
Heat gun
Instructions : 1. Stamp the Holly Santa image on the acrylic piece using StazOn Black ink. Allow the ink to dry for a few minutes.
2. Paint the image with acrylic paints. Allow it to dry and paint it again. Hold the back of the piece up to a light to make sure there are no bare spots; if there is, color them with the appropriate color. **Note: Don’t worry if the painted side is messy since it is the back. Allow it to dry completely. **Note: If you painted outside a line, use a toothpick to scratch off the paint.
3. When the paint is completely dry, cover the back with VersaMark ink using the pad itself; make sure you have a good coat of the ink on it. Cover the ink with Silver Bells embossing powder, tap off the excess powder on to scrap paper and heat set the embossing powder. After it cools, repeat this step.
4. After it cools, wrap embossing tape around all four edges. **Make sure that some of the tape covers the front, slim edge and the back. Push it firmly against the acrylic on all sides as you go around it. You don’t have to cut four separate pieces; start at one point, go around the corners and cut it. **If you overlap the beginning and end pieces, peel back the red liner on the beginning piece before putting the end of the tape down.
5. Empty out the jar of Burgundy Glitz glitter on to a piece of scrap paper. Apply the glitter to the tape. NOTE: I usually press the slim edges into the pile of glitter quite hard and then slide the four front edges in individually and push the glitter into the tape with my fingers. Then I do the same thing with the four back edges.
6. Take a stiff paintbrush and brush off all the excess glitter, even where the tape is located.
7. Thread a white narrow ribbon through the hole and tie a bow.
